Admittedly it would mean licensing content from many different companies and archives, but still, it might prove interesting.

Out of boredom, I looked up two series from the poorly-preserved DuMont network. Both series are well-preserved by DuMont standards: "The Goldbergs" and "Marge and Jeff", both sitcoms.

From this, I see that there were three dates for which both series had an extant episode:
3rd August 1954
24th August 1954
31st August 1954

This is all fine and dandy, but August isn't exactly the greatest time for US TV....

But you get the idea. There must be several 1950s dates for which a good amount of TV episodes from that exact day still exist.

Anyone else think it might make an interesting idea for a series of DVD releases?

I've been needing to listen to that 1939 radio thing for a while now.

(I read somewhere about a 1970s TV station that recorded a complete broadcasting day, and in the event recorded the only known copy of at least one network series episode).
